-3x sweater patches:
Shy sweater patch (Pastel green, 11x8 cm)
Shark sweater patch (Blue, 10x8)
Big mouth sweater patch (Orange, 10.5x9 cm)
-Woven iron-on patches
Each patch is inspired by one of Ýrúrarí's upcycled sweaters which you might find when looking through her projects and career. The idea for the patches came from her mending workshops which focus on creatively change and mend old sweaters and knits into characters or with personal decorations. Taking the concept further you can now use these small sweater patches to mend or change other textiles to prolong their life!
Iron-on instructions:
First, you'll want to check the heat tolerance of the fabric you're attaching your label to; an easy way to know is by checking the care label of your item to see if it allows for ironing. Next, set your iron to the "cotton" setting; DO NOT SET YOUR IRON TO STEAM. After that you'll want to place your iron-on label in the desired location, then cover with a piece of parchment paper. Right before ironing the patch on it can help to warm up the desired location (especially with denim!) by ironing lightly.
Once you have your label where you want it and covered with parchment paper, carefully iron over your parchment paper. You will want to move your iron in a slow movement, carefully covering all areas of the patch (especially the edges), iron for at least 30-40 seconds and wait at least 2 minutes before you remove the parchment paper.
Washing instructions:
- Do not dry clean
- Do not tumble dry
- Do not use chlorine bleach
- Cold wash cycles only
- Wait 24 hours after adding the label before your first wash.
Have in mind that stitching down the edges of the patches to the fabric makes the patch stay on stronger, and allows washing on regular cycles!
