A second-hand cotton sweater carrying a group of extremely soft tongues knitted out of a chiengora/lambswool mix that will keep on getting fluffier and softer with time. The pattern of the tongues is inspired by the Icelandic lopapeysa making the tongues cover the shoulders of the weater. Each tongue is accompanied by a freehand-stitched illustrated mouth, making each one one of a kind.
The Speaking in tongues sweater was part of the exhibition ‘Presence’ exhibited at the Icelandic museum for Design and applied Arts and Nordatlantens brygge in Copenhagen 2023-2024.
Size: M/L 42-44 (EU sizes)
Handwash with lukewarm water, do not put in a dryer.
